SAN JOSE, Calif., September 08, 2026--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Altera Corporation, the world's largest pure-play FPGA solutions provider, today announced post-quantum cryptography (PQC) support for Agilex® 3 and Agilex 5 FPGAs, bringing quantum-resistant security to its FPGA portfolio and helping customers protect long-life systems against emerging quantum-era threats. Available today, Agilex FPGAs with PQC support provide a strong security foundation designed to evolve with changing threats and cryptographic standards.
Security Built into the Hardware
Agilex 3 and Agilex 5 devices now offer PQC-enabled secure boot, helping authenticate trusted device configurations while protecting long-life systems against future quantum-era threats. Beyond PQC-enabled secure boot, the FPGA's Secure Device Manager (SDM) provides additional security capabilities including bitstream encryption for IP protection, physical anti-tamper support, key management, physically unclonable function (PUF) keys, embedded cryptographic cores, and platform attestation.
Altera's PQC-enabled FPGAs are designed to support additional software and firmware security enhancements as post-quantum requirements evolve. This flexibility helps customers address changing security and compliance requirements while extending the value of their hardware investments.
