Binance Founder Zhao Says He Doesn't View Hyperliquid Negatively, Welcomes Competition With DEXs

Changpeng Zhao, founder of Binance, the world's largest centralized crypto exchange, commented on Hyperliquid, the decentralized exchange that has recently drawn intense industry attention. While he sees it as a competitor, he said he does not view it negatively.

Odaily reported on September 26 that Zhao said, "I'm not against Hyperliquid," and welcomes more centralized and decentralized trading platforms to innovate and compete.

He also called it "normal competition" that some members of the Hyperliquid community are building influence by criticizing centralized exchanges, including Binance.

Zhao said the digital-asset industry is still in its early stages. If the broader industry grows, Hyperliquid, Binance Coin (BNB) and Bitcoin (BTC) could all benefit together. He added that an early lead does not necessarily make a company the biggest long-term winner.
