U.S. spot Bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded funds (ETFs) shed $463 million last week, ending a three-week streak of net inflows. Meanwhile, spot Ethereum (ETH) ETFs pulled in nearly $200 million over the same period, extending their inflow streak to four consecutive weeks.

According to data from SoSoValue cited by Wu Blockchain on the 14th, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded total net outflows of $463 million from the 7th through the 11th — the first weekly net outflow since mid-August.

On a daily basis, funds flowed out for four straight sessions starting Tuesday, following the Labor Day holiday closure on Monday. Outflows totaled $46.65 million on Tuesday, $120.24 million on Wednesday, and $282.56 million on Thursday. Friday — the day the U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI) was released — saw an additional $13.29 million in net outflows. As a result, cumulative net inflows fell to $55.15 billion from $55.62 billion at the prior week's close.

Bitcoin's price was highly volatile in the latter half of the week, dropping from $77,000 to $76,000 before spiking to $79,800 and then retreating to its starting point.

Spot Ethereum ETFs told a contrasting story, attracting $197 million in net inflows over the same period and extending their positive streak to four weeks. The week started sluggishly, with outflows of $24.29 million on Tuesday and $29.76 million on Thursday. But Friday alone saw $216.41 million pour in — the largest single-day inflow in two weeks. The surge came after Ethereum's price jumped more than 8% within an hour of the CPI release, touching $2,670 from $2,440, before settling back to around $2,500.
