On August 28, Bitcoin (BTC) price continued to fluctuate in a narrow range around the 80,000 mark, briefly spiking above $81,000 today and trading at $80,142 for now. Currently, Bitcoin's price is a step away from its August peak of $83,000 this year, and a breakout above this level could drive a further rally toward the $100,000 mark. However, how likely is a BTC price breakout?

At 22:00 Beijing time tonight, newly appointed Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh will deliver his debut speech at the Jackson Hole Economic Symposium. The market expects Warsh's speech to release dual bullish signals regarding macro monetary policy and policy stance on financial innovation, driving Bitcoin to capitalize on the momentum and break through $83,000.
Since taking office in May 2026, Warsh has significantly reduced traditional forward guidance, emphasizing acting on data, and is therefore unlikely to signal whether rate cuts are coming. Regarding this, Luke Tilley, chief economist at M&T Bank, stated, "Warsh may talk more about internal Fed reforms and how central banks should operate, rather than analyzing in detail the economic and interest rate paths for the coming months."
