Two of the most aggressive corporate accumulators of Bitcoin moved back into the market last week, spending a combined $183 million as the cryptocurrency surged past $86,000 for the first time since January.

Strategy (MSTR) and Strive (ASST) disclosed separate purchases totaling 2,305 BTC, according to regulatory filings and company statements released Monday. The buying coincided with a rally that pushed Bitcoin to $86,282 during the day, a 6% gain over the prior 24 hours, before settling near $86,008.

The purchases mark a notable shift in the corporate treasury landscape. After months of subdued activity, during which publicly listed companies added only about 5,900 BTC over the past three months, the two firms reasserted their dominance as the primary institutional buyers. Their average acquisition prices, both below $80,000, now sit comfortably under the prevailing market rate.

Strategy Resumes Accumulation After Buyback Pause

Strategy, the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, acquired 950 BTC between September 14 and September 20 at an average price of $79,670 per coin, spending $75.7 million. The transaction lifted its total holdings to 846,000 BTC, accumulated at a total cost of $63.8 billion and an average purchase price of $75,416.
