CME Group has announced the launch of Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap futures on October 19, pending regulatory review. The derivatives marketplace is expanding its cryptocurrency product suite in direct response to client demand for regulated risk management tools across high-liquidity altcoin markets.
Both assets will be available in larger and micro-sized contracts, giving market participants flexibility based on position size and capital efficiency. The exchange is introducing both full-sized and micro futures contracts for Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap.
Significantly, traders can access standard $250 BCH and $10,000 UNI contracts alongside smaller $25 BCH and $1,000 UNI micro contracts.
Why This Matters for Institutional Players?
The addition of BCH and UNI futures is not about two more tickers on an exchange. It’s about giving institutions the tools to manage price risk and gain exposure to key crypto networks inside a CFTC-regulated, 24/7 marketplace, without the custody and counterparty risks that come with unregulated venues.
