The Coinbase Bitcoin Premium Index has remained in negative territory for 90 consecutive days. This is the longest ever negative streak on record of Coinbase BTC Premium Index. The Coinbase Bitcoin Premium Index tracks the difference between Bitcoin prices on Coinbase and other major exchanges. A negative reading means Bitcoin is trading at a lower price on Coinbase than on the comparison markets. This extended period of weakness highlights softer Bitcoin buying activity on Coinbase compared with other major cryptocurrency markets especially Binance.
Bitcoin Coinbase Premium Falls to -0.1066%
According to CoinGlass data, the streak began on May 19, 2026 when the index first turned red. As of August 16, the index is still negative. The latest reading stood at approximately -0.1066%, indicating that Bitcoin was trading at a relative discount on Coinbase compared with Binance.
