Ether briefly slipped below $2,300 during the 04:00–05:00 UTC hour on Monday, October 26, even as bitcoin traded below $80,000, according to Coinbase's ETH-USD and BTC-USD hourly trade records. Ether touched $2,298.84 in that completed hour and ended it at $2,318.48; bitcoin's low was $79,456.70 before an $80,004.95 hourly close. Those are exchange-specific spot prices, not a single global crypto price or a prediction.

The more useful question is whether Ether can hold its recovery when U.S. funds resume trading. Farside Investors' fund table shows a provisional $4.4 million net inflow into U.S. spot ether ETFs on Friday, October 23, after a $110.6 million outflow on Thursday. The Friday gain covers just 3.98% of the preceding day's withdrawal, by TECHi's calculation. One fund's Friday line, ETHV, is still blank in that table, so neither the $4.4 million figure nor the 3.98% comparison should be treated as final. That imbalance, rather than a round number on a price chart alone, is the first test of a durable Ether rebound.

  • 01The price test-Coinbase recorded Ether at $2,298.84 in the completed 04:00–05:00 UTC hour and a $2,318.48 close; bitcoin touched $79,456.70.
  • 02The flow deficit-Friday's provisional $4.4 million ether ETF inflow offsets just 3.98% of Thursday's $110.6 million outflow. ETHV's Friday line is still blank.
  • 03The forecast-Watch completed Ether closes against the observed $2,290–$2,335 range, ETH/BTC strength, Monday fund breadth and the October 28 Fed decision.
