U.S. spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds attracted $169 million in net inflows on Wednesday,

according

to CoinGlass data. That figure marks the strongest single day for the products since Jan. 14, when they pulled in $175 million.

Ethereum

rose 4.3% over the prior 24 hours to trade at $2,130. The token had briefly fallen below the $2,000 level before recovering. Both Bitcoin and Ethereum remain more than 40% below their respective all-time highs. Some altcoins are down more than 70% following a correction that started in the fourth quarter and carried into 2026.

Analysts told Decrypt that three factors drove Wednesday's inflow surge. The first was rising geopolitical tension in the Middle East. The second was investors reassessing risk after a long downtrend pushed prices lower. The third was incremental progress on the U.S. regulatory front.

Nick Motz, CEO of ORQO Group and chief investment officer of the RWA-focused lending protocol Soil, said the global tension had pushed investors to reconsider how their portfolios are structured. He said digital assets had re-entered those conversations as non-sovereign stores of value. Motz also said institutional investors who avoided the correction are now viewing current prices as a buying opportunity. He added that recent ETF demand is connected more to tokenization infrastructure than to short-term price bets.
