Nueva Delhi, 22 de ago. -- Aumento del precio de Bitcoin, repunte de las acciones de criptomonedas: Tras el anuncio del Secretario de EE. UU. Scott Bessant de duplicar el tamaño de sus recompras de bonos a largo plazo, los precios de Bitcoin se dispararon la semana pasada, registrando el mayor repunte semanal en tres años. La criptomoneda original subió hasta un 23% la semana pasada y se acercó al nivel psicológico de $80,000, visto por última vez en mayo de 2026. Actualmente, el precio de Bitcoin oscila alrededor de $75,000, mostrando una ganancia semanal de más del 21%.

Destacando el motivo del aumento del precio de Bitcoin, Rachael Lucas, analista de BTC Markets, dijo a Bloomberg: "El verdadero motor fue que el Tesoro de EE. UU. duplicara las recompras de bonos a largo plazo, lo que redujo los rendimientos a largo plazo y elevó ampliamente el apetito por el riesgo. Nada ha cambiado el argumento a largo plazo de Bitcoin, pero nada ha cambiado su volatilidad tampoco".

"La medida del Tesoro alivió una liquidación en el mercado de bonos que había llevado los rendimientos a 30 años a máximos de 2007, y los rendimientos más bajos tienden a respaldar los activos de riesgo como Bitcoin porque reducen el atractivo de los rendimientos seguros similares al efectivo. La intervención del Tesoro señaló un apoyo a la liquidez, lo que los operadores de criptomonedas interpretaron como una luz verde para los activos escasos y globales", dijo Seema Srivastava, Analista Senior de Investigación en SMC Global Securities.
