Huo Xing Cai Jing reports, according to TheEnergyMag, that the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for New Jersey has approved the reopening of the bidding process for Poolin’s Texas Bitcoin mining facility assets. Hut 8’s affiliated company remains the stalking horse bidder, with its acquisition proposal valued at up to $180 million, including $100 million payable at closing and up to $80 million in milestone payments tied to future data center transactions. Court documents indicate that these additional payments will be linked to data center development projects involving AI, high-performance computing, cloud computing, and托管 facilities, but exclude facilities primarily used for cryptocurrency mining. Previously, Poolin had selected a $140 million offer, but the auction was restarted due to bidding disputes. The public auction will be held on October 2, with other bidders required to submit offers by October 1. The court stated that the reopened bidding aims to maximize creditor value.
