The Securities and Exchange Commission opened a 21-day public comment period for Canary's proposed staked Injective ETF filing on Monday. The agency has up to 90 days to decide on next steps for the exchange-traded fund proposal.

Canary filed its staked Injective fund proposal last month, targeting the native asset of the Injective blockchain for trading on Cboe BZX Exchange. The exchange argued in August 11 filings that Injective's market cap exceeding $1.4 billion reduces manipulation susceptibility.

The proposal comes amid increased crypto ETF activity during President Trump's second administration. Several firms have proposed ETFs tracking assets from Dogecoin to Solana, with recent focus on staking-enabled products.
