Israel's biggest cryptocurrency broker, called "Bits of Gold," has reported that personal data belonging to 200,000 of its customers was stolen in a coordinated hack of its platform.

The Tel Aviv-based company said that a hacker gained unauthorized access to a third-party data analytics network and accessed its customers' names, national IDs, emails, phone numbers, IP addresses, bank account details, and public wallet addresses.

Bits of Gold added that it quickly disconnected its system from the information sources to prevent more damage from being done.

Bits of Gold said no funds, private keys, passwords, or credit card and debit card codes were exposed in the attack.

The broker said its findings indicate the hack was part of a broader global incident that hit other companies simultaneously.

It is the third significant data breach reported within the crypto industry over the past week.

"Our security team has begun a comprehensive investigation of the incident," said Bits of Gold in a written statement.

Bits of Gold was founded in 2013 and was the first crypto company in Israel to receive a Financial Services Provider license. Today, the company has more than 250,000 customers.

As a private company, Bits of Gold's stock does not trade on a public exchange. Bitcoin (CRYPTO: $BTC) is trading at $63,500 U.S. on Aug. 17.
