ITcen PNS Expands Post-Quantum Cryptography Transition Business, Applying Phased Approach from Cryptographic Asset Identification

ITcen PNS is moving aggressively into the post-quantum cryptography (PQC) transition market with a phased model that identifies cryptographic assets within organizations, analyzes risk levels, and applies PQC starting with core systems.

The South Korean company announced on the 22nd that it is expanding its PQC transition business based on its EdgeCS cryptographic asset identification solution and EdgeCrypto cryptographic module, in response to the government's quantum security policies. A key asset is EdgeCrypto v4.2, which combines existing public-key cryptography with U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standard PQC algorithms in a hybrid approach and has obtained Korea Cryptographic Module Validation Program (KCMVP) certification.

Three-Stage Approach: From Cryptographic Identification to Transition

PQC transition proceeds in three stages: detection, analysis, and application. First, EdgeCS identifies cryptographic assets within an organization, including cryptographic algorithms, certificates, and keys. Certificate lifecycle management (CLM) solutions are also integrated to manage relevant information in the form of a Cryptographic Bill of Materials (CBOM). Transition priorities are then determined based on quantum threat levels and business criticality, with KCMVP-validated EdgeCrypto applied to core systems first.
