Le poids lourd du trading quantitatif a reconstitué son exposition aux ETF Bitcoin au cours du deuxième trimestre, le fonds de BlackRock représentant l'essentiel de la position.

Jane Street – la populaire société de trading quantitatif fortement orientée vers la crypto – a déclaré plus de 1 milliard de dollars d'avoirs en ETF Bitcoin au comptant aux États-Unis au deuxième trimestre de cette année.

L'iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) de BlackRock domine actuellement son portefeuille. Selon le dernier formulaire 13F de la société, déposé le 14 août auprès de la Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Jane Street détient environ 828 millions de dollars investis dans IBIT, aux côtés d'autres positions dans des produits incluant le FBTC de Fidelity et le GBTC de Grayscale.

Le dépôt couvre l'ensemble des titres détenus par la société à la fin de la période de référence plutôt qu'une détention directe de Bitcoin.

Dans cette optique, il s'avère que le poids lourd du trading quantitatif a également étendu son exposition aux fonds négociés en bourse crypto au-delà du Bitcoin. Comme CryptoPotato a récemment rapporté, le même dépôt du T2 a montré qu'il détenait plus de 1.2 million d'actions de l'ETF XRP au comptant de Bitwise, contre seulement 20,605 shares trois mois plus tôt.
