)-- GhostKey Development Launches to Help Companies Prepare for Post-Quantum Threats and Test Their Defenses In-House
Texas security engineering firm founded by Kyeson Blake Utley focuses on post-quantum cryptography, cryptocurrency engineering and adversary-grade penetration testing.
GhostKey Development, a security engineering firm founded in 2026 by Kyeson Blake Utley, today announced its launch. The firm helps companies migrate to post-quantum cryptography, build and audit cryptocurrency and custody systems, and run full-scope penetration tests performed entirely in-house.
The launch comes as organizations face official deadlines for moving off quantum-vulnerable encryption. A November 2024 NIST draft (NIST IR 8547) proposes deprecating today's widely used public-key algorithms by 2030 and disallowing them by 2035. Security researchers warn that adversaries can already record encrypted traffic and store it until quantum computers can decrypt it, an attack known as "harvest now, decrypt later."
"Most companies still think of post-quantum security as a problem for later, but data encrypted today can be captured today and read later," said Kyeson Blake Utley, founder of GhostKey Development. "We built GhostKey to help teams fix that now, and to attack their systems the way a real adversary would before someone else does."
