A Nexo Australia lançou linhas de crédito garantidas por cripto após se tornar uma representante de crédito sob a Lei Nacional de Proteção ao Crédito ao Consumidor da Austrália, disse a empresa em um anúncio na terça-feira compartilhado com o Cointelegraph.

As novas linhas de crédito permitem que clientes qualificados tomem emprestado dólares australianos ou stablecoins usando suas criptomoedas como garantia sem ter que vendê-las.

Os fundos geralmente estão disponíveis em 24 horas com pagamentos flexíveis, sem prazo fixo ou taxas de originação. As taxas de juros variam de 0,9% a 21,9%, dependendo da linha de crédito e do nível de fidelidade do cliente.

Os clientes podem escolher entre as linhas de crédito Smart e Standard, disse Peter Stanhope, gerente geral da Nexo Australia, ao Cointelegraph.

“As principais diferenças estão nas taxas, na seleção de ativos e em como o colateral do cliente é gerenciado se a sua [relação empréstimo-valor] aumentar”, disse Stanhope.

A Nexo afirmou que tomar empréstimos contra ativos digitais acarreta riscos de chamada de margem e liquidação, o que significa que os clientes podem perder parte ou todo o seu colateral se o seu valor cair.
