Robinhood has launched cryptocurrency trading for UK investors, expanding its all-in-one investment platform to include more than 50 digital assets alongside stocks and shares ISAs, equities, options and futures.
Crypto trading will be provided through Bitstamp UK Ltd and will begin rolling out to eligible UK customers this week.
The launch gives customers access to cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP and Hyperliquid directly through the Robinhood app.
Robinhood is offering crypto trading with no trading, account maintenance or custody fees. UK customers will still pay a 0.10% foreign exchange fee, with a 0.30% weekend FX fee applying to conversions completed between Friday at 5 p.m. ET and Sunday at 5 p.m. ET.
The company is positioning the offering as a lower-cost and more transparent alternative to UK crypto platforms that can incorporate wider spreads or additional fees into transactions.
Bitstamp UK is registered with the Financial Conduct Authority as a cryptoasset service provider.
Cryptocurrency held through Bitstamp UK is not covered by the UK’s Financial Services Compensation Scheme or Financial Ombudsman Service.
Alongside crypto trading, Robinhood is introducing Cortex Digests for Crypto, a generative AI-powered feature designed to explain the factors influencing price movements in individual digital assets.
Cortex Digests analyzes breaking news, market data, technical indicators and Robinhood’s proprietary insights and presents the information in plain language.
Robinhood said the feature is intended to provide investors with timely market context and help them make more informed decisions around cryptocurrency trading.
The crypto launch also expands Robinhood’s broader digital asset ecosystem in the UK.
