The NYSP states that scammers take their time to earn the trust of their targets. They then direct the targets to a scam website that looks like the real thing. However, once financial information is entered, victims can lose their life savings.
If you get a call about investing in Crypto or gold, don’t share any information or visit any website the caller directs you to. Instead, hang up and call a legitimate investment firm.
