WASHINGTON, D.C. (KFYR) - The U.S. Senate rejected a cryptocurrency bill on Tuesday, killing any chance of passing the bill through legislation prior to the upcoming midterm elections.

The Clarity Act would have regulated cryptocurrency.

Senator Kevin Cramer posted on X, “Elizabeth Warren and the democrats blocked the Clarity Act because they’d rather obsess over President Trump’s personal finances than establish the necessary guardrails to secure American leadership in digital assets.”

Senator Cramer is calling for the administration to use its authority to finalize appropriate market structures for investors in digital assets.
