Stellar (CRYPTO:XLM) experienced a larger decline than XRP (CRYPTO:XRP) over the week leading up to October 10, 2026. Stellar dropped 8.2%, while XRP fell by 5.4%. However, if we look at the monthly changes, both cryptocurrencies saw gains, with Stellar climbing 9.5% compared to XRP’s 2.1%.
Currently, Stellar trades at around $0.20, and XRP trades at $1.40. Both projects share roots: Jed McCaleb co-founded Ripple before starting Stellar, and both were designed for cross-border payments. When we talk about “leverage” in trading, it means using borrowed funds, which can amplify both gains and losses. This raises a question in the Stellar vs XRP comparison: Is Stellar simply XRP with more leverage?
Stellar Swings Harder Than XRP in Both Directions
