Tobias Reichmuth is a Swiss entrepreneur and media personality, but also a passionate eco activist and known bio-hacker. His estimated worth is at around $150 million right now, which ranks him among the richest men in the country, but he is also the first one in Switzerland to have a mansion that's entirely heated from wasted heated generated by a crypto miner.
His house mines for cryptocurrency and keeps itself warm throughout the year by using the waste heat generated, in simpler words. It's a self-sufficient complete ecosystem – and it's absolutely gorgeous, to boot!
That mansion is called Villa Volt and it's more of an alpine chalet in a premium location, often described as one of the most surprising examples of sustainability in the modern digital age. Commissioned sometime in 2021, it was completed in 2025 and is now being used as a luxury rental for multi-generational groups/families and select events.
