Since October 8, 2026, the crypto exchange WhiteBIT has accepted Bitcoin over the Lightning Network and pays it out the same way. The fee is 0.25 percent on deposits and 0.15 percent on withdrawals. Both rates are percentages rather than flat amounts, and that is exactly what decides who is better off on the new route than on the Bitcoin main chain.

The exchange's own token, WhiteBIT Coin (WBT), stands at $81.55, or 72.95 euros, which is 4.9 percent below last Monday's level, according to CoinGecko at midday on Monday. The announcement did not carry the price: over the two days around October 8, WBT fell from $82.91 to $80.36, the weekly low.
What WhiteBIT Switched On on October 8: Lightning Channels via Voltage
The exchange has connected its Bitcoin deposits and withdrawals to the Lightning Network, using infrastructure from the provider Voltage. Founder and chief executive Volodymyr Nosov justified the move as making Bitcoin faster and more useful for customers who want to top up their accounts. Bitcoin Magazine reports this, citing the exchange's statement; The Cryptonomist gives the same fee rates.
The exchange's statement says nothing about processing times or minimum and maximum amounts. Anyone using the route will therefore see the applicable limits only in the withdrawal window of their own account.
