As of September 26, 2026, holding 10,000 XRP (CRYPTO:XRP) is worth about $14,900, while 10,000 Dogecoin (CRYPTO:DOGE) amounts to roughly $900. Although both investors hold the same number of coins, XRP trades at $1.49, making its holder’s investment nearly 17 times that of the Dogecoin holder, whose coins trade at $0.09.

XRP has fallen 18% since January and 49% over the past year, though it has risen 60% over the last five years. Dogecoin’s performance has been even weaker, dropping 20% since January, 61% over the past year, and 56% across five years. The rules governing each network’s supply will likely determine the value of their holdings by 2030.

XRP Has a 100 Billion Coin Cap While Dogecoin Adds 5 Billion Coins a Year

XRP has a fixed maximum supply of 100 billion coins, with about 63 billion currently in circulation. Ripple, the company behind XRP, controls the majority of the remaining coins and releases up to 1 billion coins each month from locked wallets. Typically, Ripple locks away 60% to 80% of these newly released coins, so the circulating supply increases by around 200 million to 400 million coins monthly.
