MUSCAT: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion has warned companies, commercial establishments and individuals against selling or supplying cryptocurrency-mining equipment to people or entities not authorised to undertake such activities.
The ministry urged sellers to verify that buyers possess the required licences, permits and official approvals from the relevant authorities before completing any sale or supply.
It said legal and administrative action would be taken against violators in accordance with the laws in force in the Sultanate of Oman.
