Crypto has loosened the old ties between wealth and place. A digital wallet can cross borders in seconds, meaning its holders are increasingly unbound by location and free to choose where they live, invest, and build their futures. As crypto wealth continues to expand and mature, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has emerged as an increasingly attractive destination for digital asset investors and businesses, with the Kingdom of Bahrain featuring in the Henley Crypto Adoption Index for the first time, ranking 13th among 36 countries. Its established financial services sector, forward-looking regulations, advanced digital infrastructure, and long-term residency options, all within a compact market that brings together decision-makers, regulators, banks and financial institutions, have earned Bahrain a place among the world’s leading crypto-friendly jurisdictions offering investment migration programs.
