CryptoQuant-Mitarbeiter Crazzyblockk schrieb am 24. Aug., dass Bitcoin in fünf Handelstagen vom niedrigen $60,000-Bereich auf etwa $77,000 gestiegen ist und dabei den realisierten Preis kurzfristiger Halter, oder STH Realized Price, bei $67,000 bis $69,000 zurückerobert hat. Bitcoin hatte den gesamten Juli über unter diesem Band gehandelt, was viele jüngere Käufer ins Minus brachte. Die Kryptowährung brach am 19. Aug. und 20. Aug. wieder über die Spanne aus, die erste Änderung der Marktrichtung seit Mai.

Auch die Verkäufe durch langfristige Halter blieben begrenzt. Als Bitcoin im Juni auf etwa $59,700 fiel, hielt sich der realisierte Preis langfristiger Halter, oder LTH Realized Price, nahe $49,200. Crazzyblockk sagte, der Rückgang des realisierten Preises langfristiger Halter sei geringer gewesen als in früheren Beispielen aus der gleichen Phase des Zyklus, was darauf hindeutet, dass es keine strukturelle Welle großflächiger Verkäufe durch langfristige Halter gegeben hat.
