Bitcoin spot ETFs see nearly $1 billion in one-day inflows, biggest in 2026

Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw inflows of nearly $1 billion in a single day, marking the biggest daily total recorded in 2026.

On Sept. 22 (local time), blockchain outlet Cointelegraph reported that daily net inflows into bitcoin spot ETFs were tallied at $998.9 million.

The figure, compiled by Sosovalue, topped the year-to-date high of $844 million recorded on Jan. 14. It was also the largest inflow since $1.2 billion on Oct. 6, 2025. Bitcoin also briefly traded above $87,200 intraday, coinciding with the rise in inflows.

The trend has not fully shifted. Bitcoin spot ETFs are still showing net outflows of about $464 million so far in 2026. The one-day inflow was strong, but it has not yet fully recouped funds that have left since the start of the year.

Inflows concentrated in large products. BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) recorded the largest net inflow at $381 million. Next came the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB) with $289 million, and Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC), which drew about $239 million. Buying focused on major issuers' products, boosting the overall inflow total.

Market prices also rose. Bitcoin traded around $86,100 and gained 14.50 percent over the past seven days. During Sept. 22 trading it climbed above $87,200, extending the short-term rise.
