Bitfinex Securities, the tokenized securities platform affiliated with cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex, listed five digital securities on September 1, each linked to the shares of four publicly traded companies that hold Bitcoin (BTC) as a treasury asset. The underlying companies are U.S.-based Strategy, Japan's Metaplanet, Sweden's H100 Group, and France's Capital B. All five instruments are structured as notes that economically reflect the price movements of the underlying shares, rather than representing the shares themselves.

The five listings include two securities tied to Strategy — "CMSTR," linked to its common stock, and "STRCst," linked to its variable-dividend preferred stock — plus individual securities linked to the common shares of Metaplanet, H100 Group, and Capital B. The Metaplanet-linked product trades under the ticker "CMPTL."

Bitfinex Securities stated on its official X (formerly Twitter) account that this is the first time products linked to shares of Bitcoin-holding companies have entered secondary trading on a regulated tokenized securities exchange.

Product Structure and Trading Terms

CMPTL is backed by 100 shares of Metaplanet common stock per unit, allowing investors to gain exposure to the stock's price movements without directly holding the shares. The issuer is not Metaplanet itself, but rather EQTWO, a compartment of ORO(II), a Luxembourg-based umbrella securitization fund managed by SICOS Securities.
