According to the announcement, the agreement covers staking, trading, custody and real-world asset tokenization for eligible institutional clients in the Asia-Pacific region. Under its terms, HashKey Cloud becomes a validator partner on BitGo's platform, initially supporting Ethereum (CRYPTO: $ETH) and Solana (CRYPTO: $SOL) staking for BitGo's institutional client base. The two companies will also collaborate on institutional trading flow, BitGo will extend custody solutions to HashKey Capital and its associated funds, and BitGo will serve as a custody partner for HashKey's tokenization initiatives.
Abel Seow, BitGo's managing director and head of APAC sales, said the partnership reflects the depth of institutional demand in Asia, where institutions want regulated infrastructure across the full asset lifecycle rather than point solutions.
Leo Li, CEO of HashKey OnChain BG, pointed to the combination of HashKey's regulated footprint in Hong Kong and BitGo's global custody standard as giving institutions a trusted pathway across the four service areas.
