The CLARITY Act faces a make-or-break Senate vote today as unresolved disputes threaten to derail the most consequential US crypto legislation in years.
Senators are scheduled to vote at 2:15 p.m. ET on Sept. 15 on whether to proceed with the Senate's consideration of the bill.
Failure, however, could effectively end the bill's chances before the November midterm elections.
That political uncertainty has not stopped analysts from publishing bullish targets for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP.
CLARITY Act Remains in Danger Despite Trump Concession
Republican senators released a final 635-page draft of the CLARITY Act on Sept. 14.
The text followed a major concession from President Donald Trump on ethics restrictions.
It would prevent covered federal officials and their spouses from issuing digital assets or holding significant crypto interests. State attorneys general would also be allowed to enforce the rules.
