The report from Nightingale that detailed the DseWiki incident was shared exclusively with Reuters.
“We are unable to meaningfully respond to claims or findings on a report that we have not had an opportunity to review,” an OpenAI spokesperson said, as reported by NBC News.
“Reuters and the report’s authors declined our request for access. We will carefully review its contents upon publication and take any necessary next steps.”
In light of the severity of the Hugging Face incident, OpenAI had said it was slowing down research to focus on safety.
“Numerous teams are dropping everything to enhance our security, prevention, detection and response techniques,” Michael said at Black Hat.
“We are consciously slowing down research to enhance security and upgrade the security principles and foundations of our environment.”
