DoubleZero up 20% after Kalshi partnership – Can 2Z clear more resistances?
DoubleZero [2Z] extended its sharp U-turn from $0.04730, rallying by over 20% in just 24 hours. The altcoin’s rally was driven by fundamentals and leverage, which catalyzed a spike in trading activity.
DoubleZero [2Z] extended its sharp U-turn from $0.04730, rallying by over 20% in just 24 hours. The altcoin’s rally was driven by fundamentals and leverage, which catalyzed a spike in trading activity.
As a result, the daily volume jumped by 74% as the volume-to-market-cap ratio crossed 17%. This ratio confirmed elevated speculative interest in the presence of high liquidity.
As the crypto market cap fell below the $2.20 trillion mark, DoubleZero recovered some of its lost capital. But this surge was after announcing a partnership with Kalshi prediction markets.
Why is DoubleZero rallying so hard?
As per a post on X, Kalshi would distribute its real-time data for event contracts over DoubleZero Edge, off the public internet. The announcement caught the attention of prediction market users and the Asia front.
Data showed that most buying activity concentrated on Upbit, which accounted for 25% of 2Z’s global volume. Binance came second but with half the share, at 13%.

Meanwhile, funding rates for perpetual traders on DEX platforms like Hyperliquid [HYPE] were deeply negative, between 0.14% and 0.12%. Overall, the OI-Weighted Funding Rate was -0.56% per hour, signaling extreme one-sided short positioning.

As such, the initial buying pressure due to the Kalshi partnership triggered a short squeeze, amplifying the gains. Thus, leverage positioning led to this sharp uptick
Can 2Z bulls clear more resistance levels?
Looking at the numerical outlook of the altcoin, it reflected 2Z’s high volatility. After chopping between $0.0540 and $0.0580, 2Z broke down to $0.04730, where it reversed.
The pattern resembles a cup and handle pattern, especially after 2Z briefly crossed $0.0580. Failure to clear this resistance made the zone a battleground for bulls and bears.
Interestingly, the altcoin had a bullish MA Cross but from a smaller timeframe scale. The Choppiness Index (CHOP) was also below 40, indicating the uptrend was strong.
Interactions were also shooting up, from 221 to 1,820 at the time of press. Thus, the momentum indicators were pointing at continuation, but a blockade remained at $0.058.

Technically, a bullish market structure shift was dependent on staying above the horizontal resistance. Otherwise, 2Z price action would remain bearish, and this rally would be regarded as a news-driven pump that would be likely unsustainable.
Final Summary
DoubleZero rallied over 20% after the Kalshi partnership, which catalyzed the triggering of a short squeeze.
2Z briefly cleared the $0.058 resistance level, but bears reacted instantly, making the zone a battleground for bulls and bears.
