Ema Secures $77 Million to Scale AI Agents Across Enterprises

This round came about two years after Ema added $36 million in funding to bring its Series A to a total of $50 million. Ema came out of stealth in March 2024.

Ema enables enterprises to use a single platform to deploy and expand these AI Employees across functions. The agents use the enterprise’s existing applications, check their work, route approvals when required and complete processes end to end, according to the Wednesday press release.

Ema’s agents now handle more than 1 million IT service management tickets annually, as well as 1 million calls across 15 languages, the release said.

With the new funding, Ema will scale its go-to-market organization and continue investing in its platform, per the release.

“Our customers are not running experiments; they are running their HR, IT and finance operations on AI Employees at a scale of millions of interactions a year,” Ema CEO and Co-Founder Surojit Chatterjee said in the release. “This round lets us bring that to many more enterprises still stuck in the pilot stage.”

Ema’s Series B round was led by Creaegis. Prakash Parthasarathy, managing partner and chief investment officer at Creaegis, said in the release that Ema’s embedded agentic capability delivers measurable outcomes with the governance required by large enterprises.
