The reporter wrote that their Muse agent said its kink was exerting “control” and went on to describe pornographic encounters. That is an awkward result for a product whose official policy bans sexual content outright.
What Muse is supposed to do
Meta launched Muse on September 8, 2026, as a personal AI agent focused on tasks. It is not a chatbot that only talks. It is a digital assistant built to act across apps.
Users can have it book travel, send emails and make purchases through Stripe Link. The product also includes an interactive avatar with customizable features.
Each user gets a dedicated cloud virtual machine. Think of it as a private, walled-off computer that runs only your agent’s work, separate from everyone else’s.
Muse also needs explicit approval before taking consequential actions, such as completing a purchase or sending a message. In practice, the agent can draft and prepare, but you press the final button.
Meta has also stressed privacy, including a commitment not to share user data with ads.
Muse is available only to users aged 18 and older, with age verification required. The base version is free with usage limits.
