Michael Saylor (마이클 세일러), who leads Strategy, said bitcoin is an asset that can maintain demand over the long term, again stressing its investment appeal.
On Aug. 24, the blockchain media outlet U.Today reported that Saylor said in a recent post that bitcoin is an asset that passes the so-called “Bernard Arnault test.”
The remarks come as market interest continues around bitcoin’s recent breakout trend. Saylor presented the Bernard Arnault test as a standard to apply when wealthy investors consider what assets to buy. Named after Bernard Arnault, the LVMH chief executive and global billionaire, the test focuses on whether an asset will still be preferred and remain in demand after time has passed.
Saylor said bitcoin meets that condition. He said bitcoin passes the Bernard Arnault test and argued that investors managing large sums should judge assets in this way. He effectively said bitcoin fits the idea of “thinking like a billionaire.”
The view also aligns with why Saylor has kept buying bitcoin. He has consistently accumulated bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency, whether the market is bullish or bearish. That is because he maintains that bitcoin’s scarcity and future price potential matter more over the long term.
