Insider Brief

  • Monarch Quantum is supplying integrated photonics hardware to support Infleqtion‘s work on NASA’s Quantum Gravity Gradiometer Pathfinder mission, backed by a $20 million follow-on contract.
  • The mission, led by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, aims to demonstrate a space-based quantum gravity gradient sensor, with the next phase focused on hardware development and testing.
  • The technology could inform future gravity-mapping systems that measure changes in groundwater, ice, natural resources and other geophysical conditions, with instrument development targeting a 2030 launch.

PRESS RELEASE — Monarch Quantum extends congratulations to Infleqtion on receiving the $20 million NASA follow-on contract supporting the Quantum Gravity Gradiometer Pathfinder (QGGPf). Led by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California, the mission is anticipated to demonstrate the world’s first space-based Earth quantum gravity gradient sensor.

The award advances the mission into its next phase of hardware development and testing. Monarch Quantum supports Infleqtion‘s efforts on the mission by supplying integrated photonics hardware that delivers precise, stable light required to meet the performance of  the sensor.
