- Bengaluru-based Quanfluence has raised $10 million in a funding round led by Chiratae Ventures, with Pi Ventures and Rainmatter by Zerodha participating.
- The company plans to use the funding to build a full-stack photonic quantum computer combining its photonic chips, control electronics and software.
- Quanfluence is targeting early processors by 2027 and larger systems by 2029, building on its work in photonic integrated circuits, electronic circuits, quantum light generation and photonic devices.
PRESS RELEASE — Quanfluence, a Bengaluru-based deep technology company building photonic quantum computers, has raised USD 10 million in a funding round led by Chiratae Ventures. Pi Ventures, which led Quanfluence’s seed round in 2024, returned as co-investor. Rainmatter by Zerodha also invested in this round.
The capital will be deployed to build Quanfluence’s full-stack photonic quantum computer, bringing together indigenously designed photonic chips, control electronics and the software layer into a single system. The company has a roadmap with early processors by 2027 and larger scalable machines by 2029.
Since its previous funding round, Quanfluence has built out several of the core technologies required for its full-stack architecture. The company has designed and fabricated multiple photonic integrated circuits (PICs) and electronic integrated circuits (EICs), developed low-loss chip-to-fiber coupling designs, and demonstrated the generation of quantum light states. It has also made significant progress on photonic chips for light-matter interactions. In parallel, Quanfluence has moved parts of its technology beyond the laboratory: its photonic Ising machine has been productized, and several quantum devices developed by the company are now commercially available.
