Quantum Computing Inc. The partnership will focus on academic research, education, and industry applications to expand quantum technology adoption in Qatar and beyond; QCi will provide access to its Dirac-3 system both on-cloud and with an installation in Qatar. “Quantum technologies will have their greatest impact when they move beyond the laboratory and into practical applications that create measurable value for industry and society,” said Yong Meng Sua, CTO of QCi. This alliance aims to build quantum talent and identify new opportunities for commercialization within the region’s growing quantum ecosystem.

HBKU and QCi’s Three-Year Framework for Quantum Collaboration

Quantum Computing Inc.’s deployment of the Dirac-3 platform, designed for solving complex optimization problems, utilizes entropy quantum computing techniques and requires no specialized quantum expertise for operation, broadening potential access for researchers and industry partners. The collaboration specifically targets practical applications, moving beyond theoretical exploration to address tangible challenges faced by organizations in Qatar and internationally.

This prior achievement highlights HBKU’s commitment to not only research but also the immediate application of quantum technologies, a strategy QCi intends to amplify through joint initiatives, the company says. The agreement anticipates a range of collaborative efforts over the next three years, encompassing joint research projects, specialized executive education programs, and technical workshops designed to accelerate quantum adoption.
