In seiner Rede auf dem Wyoming Blockchain Symposium am Dienstag bezeichnete Scaramucci den Markt als einen „klaren Bitcoin-Bärenmarkt“, betonte jedoch, dass der Kursrückgang in diesem Zyklus von etwa 55 % im Vergleich zu den Rückgängen von 75 % bis 80 % in früheren Abschwüngen verblasst. In seinen 37 Jahren in der Finanzwelt habe er neun Bärenmärkte miterlebt, und die diesmal milderen Verluste deuteten auf eine widerstandsfähigere Basis von Käufern hin, die sich für den nächsten Aufschwung positionieren.

„Merkwürdigerweise könnte man die Position einnehmen, dass dies eigentlich ein gutes Zeichen dafür ist, dass viele Nettokäufer in die nächste Bullenphase von Bitcoin gehen“, sagte Scaramucci in einem Interview mit Andrew Ross Sorkin von CNBC.

Bitcoin überschritt am Dienstag im Intraday-Handel zum ersten Mal seit über einer Woche die Marke von 65.000 $, stieg in den vorangegangenen 24 Stunden um 1,7 %, bevor er auf etwa 64.700 $ sank.
