Solana, XRP and Dogecoin Face Key Resistance Tests as Crypto Market Rebounds 6.8%

The cryptocurrency market staged a broad recovery on September 19, with major tokens posting double-digit gains after a turbulent week shaped by rate hikes in Washington and Tokyo and a failed regulatory push on Capitol Hill. Solana, XRP and Dogecoin are now each approaching technical levels that will determine whether the rebound has staying power.

Total crypto market capitalization climbed 6.77% over 24 hours to $2.78 trillion, with Bitcoin breaking back above $81,000. Solana gained 12%, Ethereum rose nearly 8%, and Arbitrum jumped 29%. The advance came despite the Federal Reserve raising its benchmark rate and the Bank of Japan following suit, moves that had rattled digital assets earlier in the week.

The rally also followed the Senate's decision not to pass the CLARITY Act, a crypto regulatory framework that had been closely watched by XRP holders. The legislative setback sent XRP down more than 10% to $1.28 earlier in the week, but the token has since recovered to around $1.40 to $1.42.

No Single Catalyst Behind the Surge

Crypto analyst Austin Hilton noted that the rebound lacked an obvious trigger. Regulatory guidelines from the SEC and CFTC were recently sent to the White House for approval, but Hilton argued that no single headline explains the scale of the move. Instead, he pointed to pent-up demand as the primary driver, with sidelined capital rushing back into the market as prices began to climb.
