Südkoreas Finanzaufsichtsbehörde hat einen großen Schritt zur Modernisierung der Aufsicht über die Märkte für digitale Vermögenswerte getan, indem sie ein System mit künstlicher Intelligenz eingeführt hat, das darauf ausgelegt ist, unfaire Handelspraktiken in Echtzeit zu erkennen und zu analysieren.

Der Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) gab am 20. August 2026 bekannt, dass er unabhängig ein KI-gestütztes Überwachungs-Framework entwickelt und implementiert hat, das generative KI-Modelle mit Algorithmen für maschinelles Lernen kombiniert.

Die Initiative zielt darauf ab, die Herausforderungen bei der Überwachung von Tausenden von Token zu bewältigen, die rund um die Uhr an mehreren in- und ausländischen Börsen gehandelt werden – eine Aufgabe, die die begrenzten Ermittlungsressourcen stark beansprucht hat.

Das neue System baut auf früheren KI-Tools auf, die von der Behörde Anfang 2026 eingeführt wurden.

Im Januar entwickelten die Regulierungsbehörden einen Algorithmus, der in der Lage ist, verdächtige Orderaktivitäten und Zeitfenster im Zusammenhang mit potenziellen Kursmanipulationen automatisch zu markieren.

Bis April fügten sie Funktionen hinzu, um Cluster verbundener Konten zu identifizieren, die möglicherweise zusammenarbeiten.
