Strategy Inc. (Nasdaq: MSTR) increased its U.S. dollar reserve by $650 million and sold approximately $109 million of Bitcoin to fund repurchases of its Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock (Nasdaq: STRC), according to a regulatory filing Monday.
During the week ended Aug. 9, Strategy sold approximately 6.59 million shares through its at-the-market offering program, generating about $653.1 million in net proceeds. The company allocated $650 million to its U.S. dollar reserve and added the remaining $3.1 million to cash.
In a separate transaction, Strategy sold approximately 1,900 Bitcoin at an average price of $64,262 per Bitcoin, generating roughly $108.6 million in net proceeds.
Strategy used those proceeds to repurchase approximately 1.15 million STRC shares for $108.6 million.
Following the transactions, Strategy held approximately 840,450 Bitcoin acquired for an aggregate purchase price of $63.36 billion, or an average of $75,385 per Bitcoin.
