Startup founders might find that Bitcoin technology could be relevant to their businesses in a variety of new ways. Bitcoin could be held as a treasury strategy, digital assets could be how some services are built, developing blockchain infrastructure could be the business’s field, or it might simply accept payments in cryptocurrency. There are many different routes into digital assets now; the price of BTC to USD can be tracked on exchanges like Binance, and customers can purchase or sell cryptocurrencies as well, but that isn’t the only point of access; regulated financial institutions and investment products also now offer avenues for engagement or exposure to cryptocurrencies.
It should not be forgotten that regulation around cryptocurrency is evolving in the US as well. The SEC published a guidance report in April of 2026 that highlighted the differences between digital tools, stablecoins, digital securities, and digital commodities.
