Aug (Reuters) – US-Präsident Donald Trump hat den Kongress am Mittwoch aufgefordert, ein Gesetz zu verabschieden, das dem wachsenden Kryptowährungssektor klarere Definitionen verleihen würde, eine Top-Priorität für Branchenmanager, die sich zu einer Veranstaltung im Weißen Haus mit dem Präsidenten versammelt hatten.

Trump, der mehr als $1.4 Milliarden aus den Krypto-Unternehmen seiner Familie verdient hat, drängte die Gesetzgeber, eine „faire Version des Clarity Act“ zu verabschieden, einen Gesetzentwurf, von dem Krypto-Unternehmen sagen, dass er sie auf eine solide rechtliche Grundlage stellen würde, der jedoch im Senat feststeckt, da nur noch wenig Zeit im Kongresskalender verbleibt.

Mehrere hochrangige Krypto-Manager, darunter Coinbase-CEO Brian Armstrong, Robinhood-CEO Vlad Tenev und Kraken-Co-CEO Arjun Sethi, sprachen zusammen mit dem CEO der Intercontinental Exchange, Jeffrey Sprecher, an der Seite von Trump auf der Veranstaltung.

„Jetzt brauchen wir den Kongress, um den nächsten Schritt zu tun, indem er den Clarity Act verabschiedet – eine faire Version des Clarity Act“, sagte Trump in seinen Bemerkungen auf der Veranstaltung.
