The Investment Structure

Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed al Nahyan, a key UAE national security official, led a $500 million capital injection into World Liberty Financial in early 2025. The deal granted his investment consortium a 49% stake in the cryptocurrency initiative through its parent entity StringZ Holding RSC.

Trump-associated partners maintain 38% control of WLTC Holdings, the project's overarching corporate structure. Financial disclosures reveal that $263 million of the Emirati investment was earmarked for enterprises with ties to the former U.S. president, whose private ventures saw significant international licensing revenue during his renewed White House tenure.

The venture has cleared a major hurdle by securing provisional authorization from U.S. banking regulators to form a national trust institution. Company representatives emphasize the purely commercial nature of the undertaking.

"No one at World Liberty works for the U.S. government, and there are no conflicts of interest," said spokesperson David Wachsman. The current administration echoed this position, with the White House stating it "only acts in the best interest of the American public."
