APR crypto has suddenly become one of the hottest small-cap tokens in the market. After trading near $0.19-$0.20 only a week ago, APR exploded as high as roughly $0.62 on August 13 before settling around $0.48. Its seven-day gain is now close to 150%, while 24-hour trading volume has surged above $100 million.

There is also an important naming change. The project originally known as aPriori has rebranded as Capricorn, although exchanges and market trackers still widely identify APR as aPriori. The APR ticker remains unchanged. So what is APR crypto, and can its current rally last?

What Is APR Crypto?

APR crypto is the native token of Capricorn, formerly aPriori, a DeFi infrastructure protocol originally built around the Monad blockchain. The project combines several related products:

  • Liquid staking through aprMON
  • MEV infrastructure
  • Intelligent order-flow coordination
  • Swapr, its trading and routing system
  • Ecosystem incentives and governance

The concept is to improve how validators and traders interact on high-performance blockchains.

When users stake MON through the protocol, they receive aprMON, a liquid staking token. Rather than leaving staked assets inaccessible, aprMON can continue circulating through DeFi while the underlying MON earns staking rewards.
