El Banco de Rusia limita la tenencia de criptomonedas al 25% para participantes del mercado regulados

El Banco de Rusia ha emitido un nuevo proyecto de reglamento que dictamina los requisitos que deben seguir los participantes profesionales del mercado al incluir tenencias de criptomonedas en sus balances.

Según la nueva ordenanza, los participantes profesionales del mercado, como corredores, fideicomisarios, agentes de divisas y bolsas de criptomonedas, deberán incluir las tenencias de criptomonedas al calcular sus participaciones de capital. Estos criptoactivos, que pueden incluirse en estos balances si han sido admitidos a cotización en bolsas, pueden alcanzar un límite prudencial del 25% del valor total del patrimonio neto declarado.

Además, para ser incluidas en estos cálculos, las tenencias de criptomonedas deben estar registradas en depositarios de cripto, permitiendo que el estado verifique su existencia.

En cuanto al propósito de este conjunto de reglas, el banco explicó que este ratio se observará para evaluar los riesgos crediticios y de mercado y garantizará que estas empresas puedan cubrir pérdidas potenciales.

“Debido al nuevo enfoque, los ratios tendrán en cuenta los riesgos relacionados con las criptomonedas y ayudarán a garantizar la resiliencia financiera de los intermediarios en las transacciones de criptomonedas”, concluyó el banco.
