Bitcoin (BTC) is trading near $79,000 after a golden cross formed, while ETF inflows and Fed policy risks frame the debate over a possible run toward $100,000.

Key Points:

  • Bitcoin’s 50-day moving average crossed above its 200-day average for the first time since November 2025, restoring a widely watched bullish trend signal.
  • Nearly $3.8 billion in ETF inflows has strengthened the bullish case, although resistance remains concentrated between $79,000 and roughly $82,800 before a larger breakout can develop.
  • A hawkish Federal Reserve outcome could weaken the setup and push Bitcoin back toward support near $75,674.

Bitcoin Golden Cross

Bitcoin’s 50-day moving average moved above its 200-day average, creating a golden cross while BTC traded around $79,278. The publication said the previous three formations were followed by gains of 50%, 45% and 60%, although the pattern does not guarantee another rally.

The technical picture remains constrained by resistance. CryptoNews placed immediate barriers at $79,730 to $79,920, followed by a heavier zone from $80,000 to $82,793, while support sits at $76,000 to $77,600 and then $71,781 to $75,674.

ETF demand adds another bullish factor, with nearly $3.8 billion in fresh inflows cited alongside the moving-average signal. A daily close above $82,300 could open a move toward $85,000 to $86,000, followed by the $95,000 to $100,000 area if momentum continues.
