Week in the Rearview Mirror

The money we said was missing arrived, and most of what it bought was given back by Friday. Last issue went out on Monday 21 September with BTC at $81,628 and the complaint that the breakout had no capital behind it. That same day US-hours buying took price above $87,000 — about $87,392, the highest since 29 January — on $999M of ETF inflows, the largest single day since October 2025. Price returned to $84–86k on 9/22, fell 3.8% to $83,900 on 9/23, and consolidated at $83–85k into the settlement. The 25 September quarterly, roughly $18.1B of BTC and ETH notional, landed near $83,000. Monday midday reads $83,476, a 24-hour range of $83,204–85,150, and +2.3% on the week.

The week's call was confirmed, and the map above spot has moved up a shelf. We said a settlement above $80,000 would confirm the wall break. It settled near $83,000. The $80,000 strike has turned from resistance into first support — about 13,000 calls now in the money plus 5,000 puts — and the wall cluster has moved up as a block, to $90,000 (~27k), $95,000 (~26.5k) and $100,000 (~19k), with $85,000 (~10k) the at-hand call layer 1.8% above spot. ETH did not come along: down 0.9% to $2,659, with the spot ratio back to 0.0319 from last week's series high of 0.0329.
